arkness was beginning
to fade and I was beginning to see light. Was this heaven I was seeing, am I
dead, what could this be. I was starting to focus in on my surroundings. The
last thing I remembered was that shinny axe ready to fall on my neck. As soon
as that thought crossed my mind I started to tremble. I was pretty out of it
and couldn't recognize just where I was at the moment. Faintly I began to hear
to a soft voice whispering, "Alex, Alex can you hear me honey." "It's me your
your wife can you hear me." I opened my eyes wide and there was my wife standing
by my bed holding my hand. Still confused I tried to figure this out.

"here am I," I asked. "Your in the hospital Alex" she
replied. She must have read the puzzling look on my face. After all I was about
to have my head chopped off. At the moment all I could recall, was what seemed like a
lifetime, and the attempts of escape. All I had just witness, and the capture. The next
words I heard was to become the ultimate shocker of all the horrible things I had been
though. She started in a soft tearful voice and announce that I had been in a coma for
the last three weeks. "What," I screeched out. "Yes Honey, you were a victim nts" of a
violent crime. I had asked you to pick up the kids after work because I had a doctor's
appointment. On the way as I'm understanding from what the police told me, you had
stopped for gas at Chuck's service station. While you were filling the car there was
a street gang on the side of the station. The Police said there was a drug deal going
down at the time. Well the deal some how went bad and gunfire broke out. And you where
hit in the head with a stray bullet. They brought you to the hospital and had to operate
immediatley in order to save your life. When the surgery was over you slipped into a coma."
Stunned by what I was hearing, I asked "How long hava I been in a coma." About three weeks
she replied.

y head was becoming clearer now. I began to realize that it
had all been a nightmare. But I had to wonder just how close the whole experience was
close to the real Kingdom known as "HELL". Tell you
one thing for sure I was never going to go there agaon. That's the day I changed my life
forever.
